McClure Equipment Sales has been operating for over 26 years, however we have been in the heavy equipment and construction industry since 1978. I have worked for a large equipment dealership, owned my own grading business, later owned a Massey Ferguson dealership and for the past 26 years I’ve been selling heavy equipment with a concentration on of all types cranes. I will use my 50 years of varied experience and learned knowledge to help you select the crane that will match your particular and individual needs.
The 43 years of crane sales has afforded me a wide range of opportunities as well as a vast knowledge of the crane world. We have been fortunate enough to cross path with most of the largest crane dealers as well as the top crane users and small independent contractors.
We do not advertise extensively as we wholesale mostly with rapid turnovers of inventory. We purchased primarily from dealer trade-ins, banks, finance companies and a good rapport with large crane users. We export and import from our overseas contacts.
In the early 80’s I spent two years in Europe, France, Ireland, and Germany establishing reputable contacts. We were successful in supplying the Army Corp of Engineers one of the largest floating cranes in domestic waters known as the "Hercules". It is still in operation on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.
We purchase and sale cranes of all sizes. We repair and transport cranes anywhere. We take pride in saying we have been in business since 1978 in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. We are not a large company. I am a "hands on" sales person making sure my customers receive what was agreed upon from purchase to delivery. As you probably have surmised, I am fairly knowledgeable with the older friction cranes.
